Temple Square FHE

Last night we got together with my siblings and their families for Family Home Evening.  Kelli was great and organized us all and we decided to hit Temple Square as it was something we could do with the kids.  At the last minute, Chach was called out of town on business and Braxton had a basketball tournament that Becki needed to be at so Anna and I took her three youngest with us.  It was a beautiful, albeit a little cold, evening and the flowers were incredible.  It reminded me of when my parents would wake us up as kids by setting the fire alarm off and we would get dressed and go into Temple Square and then to JB's for breakfast afterwards.

We finally got all the grandkids to somewhat sit still and somewhat look at us and take a photo.

We wandered around the visitors centers watching old movies and looking at bible's in Croatian so the kids had an idea of the language my parents are facing on a daily basis in Serbia.  We reminisced about watching "Rented Christmas" as kids and Rick told us all about how my Dad proposed to my Mom in a visitors center mock up of a sealing room.  We had no idea but now we do.
We went into the Tabernacle and listened to a pin drop and how great the acoustics are.  Molly learned on her own how great they were as she stomped around on the wood floor with it echoing through the tabernacle and her giggling at the noise.

We loved the grounds and the flowers and it was nice just to let the kids run.  I love Luci's grin in this next photo...so perfect.
I'm so blessed to have the family and the gospel in my life!

So changing subjects...I have to write down a funny story about my girls so it isn't forgotten.  I bought some strawberry newtons the other day at the store and put them in the pantry to eat later.  Well a few days later I found an empty container in the garbage and asked Anna if she ate them.  She told me "No" that "Sophie found them in the cupboard and opened them and knowing she shouldn't be eating them without permission hid them in our corner cupboard with the blender and toaster (we have a lock on the pantry so she couldn't keep them in there in case she got locked out) and her and Molly had been snacking on them the last couple of days."  Anna only found out as she walked in and saw Sophie up on a stool handing one down to Molly with another one in her hand....it was the last two.  She takes after her Grandpa Nielson hiding her food so she can enjoy it on her own.

Sophie also was tooting in the tub the other day and laughing as she discovered it makes bubbles.  Anna said to her "Sophie do you have bad toots" and Sophie quickly responded "No mom I have good toots"....yet another thing she gets from her aunt Becki.
